Canyon Creek Inn is an Alzheimer’s and Dementia care facility that is approximately 35,000 square feet. The facility offers comfortable community areas including: living rooms with fireplaces, a private dining room and sun-rooms for family events, enclosed courtyards and walking paths, beauty and barber shop, and close proximity to medical facilities
The building is a single story, concrete slab on grade, with conventional wood stick framing and a manufactured truss roof system. This building was built on native soils and utilizes a conventional strip foundation. The assisted living care facilities require ample coordination between the site developer, architect, geotechnical engineer, and contractor.
Our office provided the structural drafting along with the structural engineering calculations for this project. A representative from Alpine Engineering performed a framing inspection on the building prior to its completion.
