Cougar Crest Lodge is an 18,000 square foot bed and breakfast located in the mountains outside of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The building is constructed partially of logs and the remaining areas are conventionally framed. The foyer of this facility is spanned by three 40 foot log trusses with bolted connections. This space is large enough to fully contain most single family dwellings. Alpine Engineering personnel worked on the project from the initial concept until the structural shell was completed, making many construction phase visits to the site.
